Some in the Western world only think of Judaism and Islam as the religions of the Middle East. This small clip is an example of the cultural practices of the Coptic Christians of Egypt that can help broaden perspectives on religion in the Middle East as well as on global Christian practices.
This is an interesting video. Coptic comes from a Greek word meaning “Egyptian.” The original Coptics (from Egypt) were under the rule of the Roman Empire, and suffered persecution and even death for their faith and belief in Christ while refusing to worship emperors.
